Old Posts West Country Cruise 2010
Colin Campbel is organising a cruise around Lyme Bay or thereabouts.
Start date is Sat 7th August and directions to slip etc are as follows. If you are interested please let Tony Eden know or leave a message here.

M5 to the end then take the A38 sp. Plymouth Bear left onto A380 sp Torquay,Teignmouth & Newton Abbot IGNORE THE LEFT ONTO B3192 SP TEIGNMOUTH (it's too bendy) Turn left onto A381 sp Teignmouth (at Ware Barton) Folllow towards town centre Close to town centre, at start of dual carriageway turn right at traffic lights sp Quays Follow road round to the right and enter the Docks, then keep right into "no entry except access to quays and Polly Steps" Keep right with warehouses on left and Rly on right 'till you reach the slipway.
I've been advised not to launch at LW +/- 1 hour. Low water on Saturday 7th August is 10:22 so we've got all afternoon to launch and get sorted. We could anchor or go to the pontoon (if there's room) for the night if we wish; row ashore and get food and drink. There is drinking water near the slipway.

Launching will be easy on a super slipway but we will have to take our turn as we have chosen Teignmouth Regatta week end ! ! I think we will have to anchor off and use a dinghy as the quay is not Silhouette friendly - it's designed for large cargo carriers. Launching is FREE. Parking would have been about £90 each SO >>>

I have arranged parking for cars and trailers about 3 miles away (on a rough bit of land - but safe I hope) The cost is"whatever you think it's worth ! ! When I suggested £100 for all of us the farmer thought that was too much. how about £50 - I don't want to rob you ! Rosemary will ferry us back to Polly Steps once parked.
